We’re Here to Help During Your Stay

Guests can come sit with us on the store porch for a spell. If you are looking to explore the surrounding Tennessee areas, one of our staff will gladly direct you to the many nearby touring attractions. We often feature horse activities at the Ranch and Guests are welcome to observe. Educational programs can be provided for those interested in a full horse experience.

We’re located at the foot of the Cherokee Mountains in the East Tennessee countryside. Lot’s of wild edibles if you know who to ask such as blueberries, black raspberries, nut trees, and chicory. It stays cooler up here than down in Greeneville, and we get magnificent cool winds. Sometimes when it’s been raining the clouds will flow over the mountain like water. We also have our fare share of wildlife- plenty of rabbits, the occasional deer, raccoons, foxes, turkeys, killdeer, cardinals, bluebirds, hummingbirds, Canadian geese, various hawks and birds of prey, whippoorwill, doves, swifts, woodpeckers, and many more. We also have free ranging cats, all fixed, spayed, and vaccinated. Also friendly!

Other Things to Note

There is a trail that leads to the top of the mountain to the fire tower outlook. Good for hikers or horseback riders. There is also a separate road for cars. There is also a road/trail that goes down the other side of the Mountain to the Burnett Gap area. Our ranch is off the beaten path, yet located within an easy drive of beautiful hiking locations such as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. We are also near to the relaxing Hot Springs and historic Asheville, home of the Biltmore Estate.

People are Talking About Meadow Creek Mountain Ranch

Here are just a few of the many great things our guests have had to say about their visit to Meadow Creek Mountain Ranch

“Rustic in the BEST Sense of the Word!”

This is a picturesque property off the beaten path in the Smokies. The lodge has a rustic feel in the best meaning of the word--it's extremely clean and has everything needed. The property has amazing views of the mountains and horse pastures (you can purchase trail rides here). Lynn and all staff give great Southern hospitality. The cafe has delicious homemade food and beer at low prices. The campsite is also beautiful with plenty of space for yourself. Within a day trip of Asheville, Bryson City, Gatlinburg, and other Smokies locations. Hiking trails start on the property.

“Charmed by our stay!”

We were delightfully surprised to find such a warm and welcoming environment! The lodge is on a farm that boards and trains horses, so the setting was beautiful. There was live bluegrass music outside as well as a bonfire and a simple bar you could buy drinks at. It was also lovely waking up and seeing the sun rise over the mountains, being greeted by horses and a sweet farm cat, and enjoying some peace and quiet. While it’s a little off the beaten path, I really recommend staying here and hope to visit again! We were so charmed by our stay!

“You need to experience it for yourself!”

Our dog was welcomed and had fun meeting the cat and horses. Lynn and the staff are wonderful - please take time to talk with them! The lodge was clean and we enjoyed Kim's dinners at the cafe. Once the word of Kim's cooking gets out maybe they can do breakfast also. The views, the location - hard to describe other than beautiful - you need to experience it for yourself! The lodge was nice and the other guests were very friendly.

“I Will Definitely Stay Here Again!”

Beautiful location! I only stayed a couple of nights but if/when I visit this area again, I will definitely stay here again! I had my dog with me and it was an easy place to walk her and let her snif around. All around comfortable, remote, beautiful place! Very relaxing.
